Catharine Compston Catharine Compston received her art training at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary many years ago, and now works mainly in soft pastels. She illustrated a backpacking cookbook, Recipes for Roaming. She has a special interest in prairie landscapes, and in trying to capture impressions of nature.
