An outdoor studio and gallery featuring over 230 working artists!

Vision Statement
The Whyte Avenue Art Walk is an outdoor studio and gallery featuring hundreds of working artists. Its purpose is to provide affordable exposure for fine arts to ensure the appreciation, understanding of visual arts as well as encourage the purchase of original art by local artists.

Mission Statement
The Whyte Avenue Art Walk is a non-juried opportunity for visual artists to gain exposure by sharing their art-making process and exhibiting fine art. Our large outdoor venue invites patrons to interact with visual artists, watch art being made and view original artwork to purchase. We also provide profession advice and leadership to help artists become successful and make the most of their Art Walk connections.

Bringing the studio to the streets allows for a more intimate relationship between artist and viewer. Meeting artists from all over Alberta, talking to them about their work and finding something that speaks to you, this is the Whyte Avenue Art Walk.
Kim Fjorbotten, The Paint Spot Owner

This event had very humble beginnings with two people who wanted to have art on the avenue. We now provide a venue for over local 200 artists to create and sell their art in an accessible and approachable event. The Whyte Avenue Art Walk brings artists of every description; painters, sculptors, woodcarvers, glass makers, cartoonists, illustrators. Sketch artists, to name a few.
Karen Tabor, Old Strathcona Foundation

What would it have felt like to watch Da Vinci create the Mona Lisa? The Whyte Avenue Art Walk transforms the streets of Old Strathcona into a truly remarkable spectacle, a performance of the visual arts.
Stroll through our streets, chat with artists as they work and invest in an original piece of art. The opportunity to get intimate with the visual arts shouldn’t be missed.

Shirley Lowe, Old Strathcona Business Association
